The ability to interface with personnel throughout the Operations, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain organizations in an efficient and productive way, including both oral and written communications
Review project specifications and confer with Project Manager and Project Engineer concerning project requirements; such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, evaluations of field conditions, design changes, and reports.
Lead engineering design team and execute tasks needed for transportation projects; prepare project layout plans, grading, drainage, and details; work with team members to develop project documents including plans, cost estimates, and reports.
Ensure on time delivery of customer commitments without compromising quality of products. Maintain and distribute project schedule, including assignment of engineering personnel, priority, and time frame.
Maintain accurate logs of trouble isolation and repair efforts. Serve in leadership function for the first level NOC, providing guidance and assistance to other engineers, directing work flow as well as address more complex technical issues.
Prepare design calculations and perform calculation check for bridges and other transportation related structures, e.g. culverts, retaining walls, etc.; prepare quantity and construction cost estimates; review shop drawings and other submittals.
Manage and implement capital, process and warehouse management system projects. Identify barriers to performance in collaboration with leadership, develop action plans and resolve with a sense of urgency.
