Position Description Assist DSAs and Sr DSAs as needed to maintain on-time performance of weekly and other standard reporting/ processes.
Coaching and development of Decision Support Analysts. Teaching: SAS programming, SQL, Excel, data structure, data quality control, financial analysis, problem solving techniques, Retailing processes & procedures, Supply Chain processes & procedures, Replenishment processes & procedures, and analytical role in Supply Chain.
With the directors, responsible for developing operating plan strategies and/or tactics.
Work with Supply Chain directors, VPs, and SVPs on special projects, such as EC presentations, network modeling & analysis, brain storming solutions to Replenishment and/or Supply Chain issues, etc.
Develop new Supply Chain processes involving Replenishment, DC Operations, Transportation, Logistics, and/or DC Systems.
Cross-functional work with Merchandising, Store Operations, Marketing, Finance, and/or Commercial on projects such as: 4C, Project Flat/Beyond Flat, Shrink team, Inventory productivity team, Merch Planning development team, etc.
Work with IT on development of new programs, improving existing programs, and researching data integrity issues; for example, construct ARSs for departmental IT needs, identify issues with data integrity, develop long-term IT resource requirements for annual review, etc.
Involved in career development, RPM, and hiring of analysts.
Develop, train, and manage DSAs and other Supply Chain personnel to achieve stated objectives.
Manage team to support company objectives in addition to departmental operating plans.
Demonstrate and promote AutoZone culture. Position Requirements Statistical analysis, financial analysis, programming and data modeling experience.
Highly Proficient in Excel, SQL, SAS:
Excel--Can write VBA macros.
SQL--Can write advanced queries using outer joins, unions, and sub-queries.
SAS--Understands advanced data steps and macro programming. Uses statistical functions, such as regression.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to identify problems, analyze alternative solutions, and develop implementation plans for the recommended solution.
Ability to teach and mentor others.
Ability to influence decisions and teams outside Supply Chain, as well as represent Supply Chain as a function.
Proven leadership skills.
5+ years experience with Master’s Degree or
7+ years experience with Bachelor’s Degree
Mathematics, statistics, computer science, MIS, engineering
Experience with applying statistical modeling to real-world problems and a thorough understanding of the Supply Chain
