Safety and Mission Assurance Engineer III (Independent Assessment)
Millennium Engineering and Integration Company has an opening for an Independent Assessment Engineer III onsite at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, FL. This full-time position supports the AMO supports AMO Office providing Independent Assessment Services.
- Conduct Independent Assessments either independently or as part of a Government/Contractor team to provide programmatic, technical, and process expertise. Assessment activities require participating and presenting in a number of forums (e.g. readiness reviews, senior management meetings). Activities conducted in support of assessments include, but are not limited to, engineering analysis, design reviews, mathematical models, subject matter research, personnel interviews, and data analysis.
- Perform assessments in accordance with the NASA plans and processes.
Education and Work Experience
This position is considered a mid-level engineering position. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science and a minimum of 6 years’ experience in engineering, science, or related technical discipline. Requires experience in the field of work specified. May be required to provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
- Ability to enter on to Federal Base and obtain a Secret Clearance if required.
Kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 to 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate office equipment, and read information on spreadsheets and reports. The candidate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
