Millennium Engineering is seeking an experienced individual to support the OSD Office of Operational Energy. This Innovation Analyst should possess the technical or other background experience to provide management and integration support to assist in the development of and recommend adjustments to the DoD Operational Energy Strategy and the Science and TechnologyInvestment Strategy as it applies to Department Operational Energy activities.

The incumbent provides proven capability to maintain programmatic oversight for a portfolio of highly technical projects; track monthly status reports, outstanding actions, and performance metrics; analyze and monitor funding and scientific breadth of research programs implemented; and conducts technical analysis for emerging, ongoing, or completed Operational Energy projects. The incumbent will assimilate complex technology issues and summarize as appropriate to intended audiences (technical and senior leadership) and support the administration of the DoD Operational Energy Capabilities Innovation Fund (OECIF). The position will also support the innovation team activities for the OASD Operational Energy Plans and Programs. The incumbent will also lead outreach and partnership initiatives with offices within DoD, other agencies, industry, and academia as well as STEM initiatives 


Millennium Engineering is seeking an experienced individual with knowledge and experience working with energy related technology, operational energy programs and policies, and the OECIF process; DoD organization and structure; previous experience working with technology or operational energy issues in the DoD; strong written communications skills; experience with and understanding of congressional processes and relationships between the executive and legislative branches


Required: Master’s Degree in Engineering, physical sciences (i.e. chemistry, physics, mathematics), or other technical degree with a direct connection to energy technology or a degree in history or political science with relevant professional operational energy experience

Required: 14+ years’ experience with 4+ years OSD/Service staff /Joint Staff experience, or equivalent experience.
