Workday Finance Implementation Consultant at Hedge Fund in New York, NY

• Long-Term Consulting Role with Right to Hire!

- Implement Workday Finance, working in collaboration with Workday implementation partner team

- Reporting to senior IT staff

- Frequent interaction with business end-users and external implementation consultants

- Work remotely (while COVID-19 circumstances warrant) and, later, on-site in NYC headquarters

What you’ll be doing:

- Implement Workday Financial Accounting, Banking and Settlement, Budgets, Security, Reports and Statements, Suppliers, Expense Management, Invoice Capture, Amex Credit Card processing

- Work with business users (Accounting), technology team members as well as a large implementation team from an external vendor

- Convert and load legacy data from Navision financial accounting system, including vendors, initial balances

- Integrate with Workday HCM (in production since 2020) and business applications

- Provide tier 2 and 3 operational support for Workday Finance

Qualifications:

- Extensive and hands-on experience implementing Workday Finance

- Strong data analysis and manipulation skills; Microsoft Excel power user

- Database development skills required (SQL Server or any RDBMS)

- Understanding of Accounting principles and concepts

- Workday HCM experience

- General application development experience

- Financial services experience
