Typically will be in an office setting seated, in artificial light and working for prolonged periods of time on the computer. Some travel may be required.
Education and Experience
A minimum of 3-5 years real wireless experience in a 24*7 mission critical enterprise network environment, ideally gained in a retail or FMCG environment.
Thorough understanding of IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi standards
RF Design, RF Survey/Engineering and RF troubleshooting skills
Experience with Cisco WLCs, APs, Prime, CMX, and MSE
Perform network related tasks, including configuration of Cisco ISR routers, switches (3750, 4500, 6500 and Nexus 7K), A SA5500, ACS (AAA), Radius, IAS, QOS
Experience with ARP, 802.1q, H323, HSRP, NAT, ACLs, IPSEC, and SNMP.
Knowledge of MPLS, VPLS, LDP, and VRFs is a plus.
Cisco Nexus experience:9k, 7K, 5K, 2K,
High level of experience with TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP and OSPF).
Strong knowledge of tools like Wireshark required.
Proven ability to analyze and solve network incidents.
Provable knowledge of RF propagation and antenna selection
Wireless Surveying tools and in-field experience
· Cisco, WAN/LAN, Netscount, Solarwinds, Cisco VOIP, and beacon/RFID experience.
· CWNA or equivalent certification
