Summary: Administers Windows Active directory environments. Solid understanding of Internet protocols to include TCP/IP & HTTP/S. Manage and maintain DNS/DHCP infrastructure services. Manage Certificate infrastructure for both Retail POS systems and Web Services. Troubleshoot and manage RDP/SSH remote access connectivity.Essential Functions and Skills

  • Perform administration, configuration and maintenance of operating systems Windows, and VMware on physical servers and virtual environments.
  • Resolve hardware related server problems (failed disks, network cards, CPU, memory, etc.)
  • Support existing server infrastructure in an on-call capacity as part of a team rotation.
  • Support Microsoft Software such as Exchange and other Microsoft products.
  • Build servers and configure hardware using Cisco UCS Manager
  • Manage and maintain UCS blade center using UCS Central
  • Implement defined changes to existing hardware and operating system infrastructure including patches, users, file systems and kernel parameters.
  • Familiar with Linux, VMware and virtualization technologies.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware related problems in Servers and in operating systems.
  • Interact with multiple internal customers and external vendors to provide quality customer service.
  • Comply with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained.
  • Experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI or other scripting tools
  • Solid understanding of Windows security fundamentals
  • Strong Active Directory knowledge and administrative skills
  • Install and configure SQL Server environments
  • Implement and Secure MS Cluster services
  • Install Citrix XenApp and manage server farm

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in medium sized enterprise environment.
  • Operational experience with a multi-domain Active Directory environment.
  • Experience with the latest version of Windows Server .
  • Knowledge of Data Encryption methods and practices, Microsoft tools and anti-virus software.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
