The mission of the Westside Regional Center (WRC) is to empower individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to choose and access community services that facilitate a quality of life comparable to persons without disabilities. WRC is one of the 21 statewide regional centers that provide lifelong services to individuals with a disability pursuant to the California Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Act (Lanterman Act). WRC also serves infants and toddlers who have a need for early intervention services through the California Early Start program. Services and support are provided to 9,500 individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in the Westside ethnically, culturally and economically diverse catchment area.
