Brief Description of Role

Design, develop, maintain and enhance all aspects of Appirio’s web presence. Including the look and feel of all web sites, landing pages, and email templates. Be the go to person for all web design needs which include HTML, CSS and page layout.

Website Designer Job Duties:

  • Design and build responsive / mobile friendly web landing pages from scratch and with existing technology (Craft)

  • Own the look and feel of the corporate website and various web properties. Plans site design by outlining goals and timelines; along with designing functionality.

  • Develop and maintain site navigation by categorizing content to cater to target audience personas; and focus on funneling traffic through to meaningful, relevant content.

  • Develops site content and graphics from scratch and by coordinating with copywriters and graphic artists; designing images, icons, banners, etc.

  • Constantly look for ways to improve the web site and various web properties, email templates, etc by updating content and graphics; monitoring performance and results; identifying and evaluating impact; introducing new technology; and maintaining all links.

  • Maintain brand standards on web properties by developing and enforcing content and display standards; editing submissions; and providing guidance.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years “expert” knowledge of Craft CMS

  • Experience manipulating and customizing pre-made themes

  • Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery

  • Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages

  • Experience using front end page builders

  • Marketo or Marketing Automation tech, SEO, Google Analytics, Javascript, WPEngine experince would be preferred
