Job Description

Microsemi's Corporate Marketing organization has an immediate opening for a full-time Web Application Developer position. You must have excellent technical and communication skills, attention to details, ability to be creative and resourceful in problem solving while working effectively with a range of technical backgrounds.


  • Contribute to a team of full stack developers (front end, middle tier, and back-end)
  • Develop scalable, fast, robust web-based solutions
  • Embrace and promote best practices in order to create maintainable, high performance websites/applications
  • Collaborate with team members in an Agile environment to understand business needs and user stories
  • Think creatively and work with Marketing department to produce new, innovative ideas


  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of directly related work experience
  • Knowledge of web standards, compatibility issues and building standards compliant Web sites
  • Ability to write clean, documented, and reusable code (HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript)
  • Self-Starter - Looking for candidates who can jump in quickly without a lot of direction
  • Must be able to work with multidisciplinary groups of peers on many projects
  • Must have excellent technical and communication skills, and attention to detail

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, MySQL, and Web Services
  • Expert level JavaScript development experience required; JQuery, Node.js, AngularJS
  • API Driven Development: RESTful Web Services, Create APIs using NodeJS
  • Strong grasp of software engineering principles and practices
  • Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
  • Responsive design frameworks e.g. Bootstrap

Experience in the following areas is a plus:

  • Version control system(GIT)
  • PHP/Joomla experience is a plus
  • Data collection strategies, database development and conversion strategies
  • A desire for keeping up with the latest and evolving web technologies
