The Product Marketing Manager, Payer Solutions is responsible for driving demand for the assigned portfolio of solutions in the healthcare payer market. This position is responsible for understanding the market and buyers, developing the product marketing strategy and go-to-market plans, crafting differentiating messaging, and producing related deliverables for the Sales and Marketing organizations at IBM Watson Health. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, have demonstrated excellent leadership, collaboration, and business acumen and have a broad understanding of the overall marketing function.
Essential Job Duties
·         Acquiring and applying market, competitive, and customer insights to inform marketing plans and provide insights to help guide the solution roadmap and strategy
·         Crafting value propositions and go-to-market messages with clearly defined differentiators, including Watson cognitive capabilities where applicable.
·         Delivering a Market Point of View with a cross-functional team that articulates the Watson Health perspective on potential opportunities.
·         Designing robust product launches in partnership with Offering Management and managing the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
·         Working collaboratively with other functions to create a go-to-market strategy, messaging and content plan to drive demand and lead generation activities.
·         Working with marketing stakeholders to create impactful marketing collateral including case studies, data sheets, whitepapers, FAQs, blog posts, sales presentation decks, etc.
·         Working with Sales Enablement to provide Sellers and other internal stakeholders with training on value propositions and product positioning.
·         Tracking feedback to measure performance and adjusting marketing accordingly.
·         Supporting work with analysts or journalists to ensure the best message is delivered.
·         Performing other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of healthcare IT or other healthcare industry product marketing experience;
    direct experience with health insurance companies preferred.
  • Proven experience creating innovative, high impact go-to-market strategies.
  • Exceptional knowledge of sales, marketing and development processes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills, including effective presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, working under pressures and deadlines to complete assigned tasks.

·         Ability to effectively manage relationships in a dynamic marketing organization and work well in cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, Salesforce.com, Marketo, and Adobe suite appreciated.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • 5+ years of healthcare IT or other healthcare industry product marketing experience;
