Position Summary:


Performs a variety of routine assignments involved in the coordination of various engineering, construction, purchasing, scheduling and start up aspects of a project. This individual typically performs as an assistant role to the Project Manager with discretionary authority for overseeing the construction administrative functions of the project. This individual will be stationed full time at one of our construction sites through the Acceptance Test period and closeout phase of the project. . This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills and be motivated to take on increasing work responsibilities towards the goal of being a project manager within a few years of the initial assignment

  • Strong knowledge of HSE procedures and practices
  • Proficient knowledge of project engineering processes and procedures
  • Proficient execution planning skills
  • Strong in organizing and managing complex construction activities
  • Working knowledge of project control systems
  • Working knowledge of estimating processes
  • Knowledge of proposals and bid processes
  • Understands engineering estimate basis
  • Understands contractual requirements for the pro

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering, construction management, or other related discipline
  • At least 6 years' experience as a Project Engineer
  • Experience with construction of $50M plus water and wastewater treatment plant projects
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to P6 schedule software, and document control software
  • Performed cost/revenue forecasts, client pay estimates, vendor invoices and subcontractor pay estimates, change management and schedule updates Preferred Qualifications
  • Design-Build experience
  • At least 8 years of construction experience at project sites
  • OSHA 30-hour certification
