Seeking a Product Development Engineer for a growing company in the Cary, Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina. This is one of the most technologically advanced, growing and attractive areas in the entire United States. The Product Development Engineer will work closely with the Senior Product Development Engineer, and the Product Development Manager for new product development activities in the Environmental Business Area. Leads product development projects, designs a test protocol, prepares technical reports, and supports process development, and market development activities, incluidng technical support to customers.
Designs the HES's Pilot System, and manages the fleet of pilot units. Demonstrates metal powder performance through joint pilottrials at customer sites. Develops treatment modules: drawings, isometrics, and Proportional Integral Derivative Controller (PID) for existing water treatment installations. Designs HES Engineering Solutions Packet for water treatment solutions. Oversees with the assistance from the Segment Manager, site management of treatment installation units working withcontractors on end user treatment systems. Analyzes incoming water samples from prospective customers, tracking the analysis, and reporting the results to an internal team for review and delivery to the customer. Develops new water treatment applications and assists in industry scanning and market development. Works with customers to troubleshoot before, during, and after installation. Works closely with the Materials Development Group to develop the right products. Develops contacts in the water industry. Salary range is $80,000 - $89,000
A Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably Environmental Engineering. A minimum of 1 -2years experience within the water treatment and soil remediation industry. Experience with project management, leadership, technical decision making, and customer interaction at the project level. Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective customer presentations, and written report preparation. Project Management experience, including budget and schedule monitoring, and control responsibilities. Ability to use MS Office, and a working knowledge of laboratory equipment. Able to multi-task and prioritize simultaneously.MUST be US Citizen or Perm Resident
