Warehouse Manager ? Chemicals     Toledo, OH

Major chemical manufacturer is looking for a talented and dedicated Warehouse Manager to join the team at their Toledo, OH area plant.

We are looking for strong people involvement experience. Must be familiar with warehouse management metrics, and efficiencies. You will be responsible for the scope of operations in a fast-paced modern warehouse environment.

Champion safety and housekeeping initiatives and communicate these to your team. Assign work to team members and train new employees on warehouse operations. Conduct regular training, and cross-training for existing employees to foster employee growth, and to keep updated on safety requirements.

Monitor scope of Warehouse operations to ensure a safe, clean and efficient department.

Experience/knowledge of Lean and or Kaizen is very desirable.

Previous demonstrable success at improving warehouse management operations, and bringing those operations to the next level.

Demonstrable experiencewith:

Safe warehouse practices and protocols

Shipping product on time and with accuracy

Improving shipping and inventory procedures to ensure satisfaction from all stakeholders

Managing, leading and coaching a team of leads and material handlers

Communicating withproduction on status to ensure on-time delivery

Slotting techniques

Picking / Selecting techniques

Cases vs. Reaches

Fast pick set-up

Efficiency techniques

Strong people involvement

Carrier / logistics knowledge

Lean methodologies and/or Kaizen, and preferably having led Kaizen events

We want someone who has been key behind set-up ?not an established system

We need someone who has and will foster an action oriented and accountability based and inclusive environment that embraces change and innovation.
