About User Experience

We help design desirable, useful, usable, and engaging experiences by focusing on how users interact with products and services. We complement and extend GfK's market research capabilities with direct observation and measurement of how customers experience products and services. We engage both early and late in the product development process, find the gaps, and produce recommendations and designs. As a result, our clients create experiences that are engaging and meaningful and that drive user adoption and customer satisfaction. 


Position Description     

The Vice President of Consulting is a senior research position responsible for developing a UX team and building partnership relationships with internal GfK research groups and clients. The VP of Consulting is responsible for a specific area of focus for business development based on geography and/or a specific practice area and market demand.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Vice President of Consulting is responsible for growing the business within the GfK Matrix by evangelizing UX to Key Account Managers (KAMs).


Specific responsibilities include:

Sell UX design and research work to clients by leveraging network, global GfK contacts and existing client accounts.

Develop GfK's UX products and value proposition to grow GfK into the leading global UX agency.

Manage, mentor, and coach consultants (UX research and design), providing both informal and formal feedback in a motivating and supportive manner.

Provide account management and oversight of multiple projects throughout the project lifecycle.

Review project team's work to ensure consistency, high quality, and the delivery of meaningful user experiences.

Create a unified vision for UX solutions that bases design ideas on research and bases research recommendations on design principles.




Experience and Skills:

In-depth knowledge of UX design principles and current user research and design methodologies.

Record of using engaging presentation and written communication skills with senior clients.

Record of developing strategic sales with corporate clients.

Comfortable operating in fast-paced environment and working withinternational teams.

7-10 years of conducting UX research or design is required (10+ years preferred).

5+ years of leading interdisciplinary UX teams by inspiring passion, dedication and amazing work from all team members.



Bachelor's degree in human factors, HCI, Psychology, IndustrialEngineering, Industrial /Design, Visual Design, Behavioral Sciences or equivalent experience is required (Master's degree or higher preferred).
