Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the trust accounting function including the three way reconciliation of trust accounts and processing of all trust receipts and disbursements for the Company's Title Service entity. Collaborates with the Corporate Accounting team to ensure complete, accurate and timely information is provided on a monthly basis. Perform all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
•Manage the disbursement of the company assuring that company policies are followed and that client's disbursements are handled in a timely and consistent manner.
•Oversee trust accounting to assure that accounts are balanced on a daily basis and all escrow accounts are managed in accordance with DOI guidelines and underwriter requirements.
•Oversee and manage the daily reconciliation of all trust accounts.
•Manage billing and collection activities.
•Responsible for compiling all state regulatory reporting and assist with annual audit.
•Responsible for ensuring system accuracy including fees and vendor related costs.
•Manage expenses and production to achieve targeted company profit.
•Oversee management of systems workflow (Resware and RamQuest) to assure file handling and task management is managed in an efficient manner within the operation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• Ten (10) years of experience in accounting required with a minimum of three years at the management level.
• Strong analytical skills required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
