At the same time, you'll will find your direct reports open to a new leader who can provide firm but fair guidance. We'll look to you to help them focus on what is best for clients and to consider cross-functional dynamics when developing solutions. In fact, that is a key objective across strategic operations: Maintaining process discipline while keeping the client front-and-center.
People are often surprised by the pace at which we operate. For example, while our client satisfaction ratings are strong, we'll look to see marked improvement within six months. To do so, you'll need to drive improvements in all operations areas, not just one or two. That will require you to gain a solid understanding of the interdependencies among the areas.
