The primary responsibility is to analyze financial results and collateral performance, assist in screening, structuring, underwriting, approval and documentation of new senior secured asset based commercial loans within CIT Northbridge Credit, an unconsolidated joint venture managed by CIT Asset Management. The ideal candidate will currently be performing these activities for an alternative ABL lender or active ABL bank with a preference for experience with turnaround or higher yielding ABL prospects. The individual is responsible for direct prospect communications in obtaining and understanding financial and collateral information, engaging/directing third party appraisal, field examination and legal professionals while briskly managing the deal process toward approval and closing. The candidate to work in one of the following major metropolitan areas: New York, Chicago or Dallas.

Core responsibilities include:
• Utilize ABL industry knowledge, CIT Northbridge risk guidelines and lending partner constraints to assist in structuring lending solutions which meet customers’ needs and mitigate credit risks to CIT Northbridge
• Develop comprehensive analysis of prospects’ financial results, collateral, liquidity, capital structure, industry and plausibility of forecast resulting in recommendation to senior management
• Exhibit strong, professional written and oral communication to senior management and deal team on the status of the underwriting process including timelines, changes in assumptions or new information. Externally, proactively communicate due diligence requests to prospects, lead prospect calls through analytical discussions, manage expectations of prospects and quality and timing of materials to be provided by third parties
• Partner with the Business Development team in structuring and managing the underwriting process through a thorough yet expeditious timeframe, positioning CIT Northbridge as a decisive, nimble lending partner with each prospect or intermediary interaction
• Identifying opportunities to cross-sell CIT Bank products/services
• Attend relevant and appropriate industry regional events and conferences to enhance CIT Northbridge brand recognition
• At least 15% business travelrequired to establish prospect relationships


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Commercial Finance, Business Banking; ABL required
• Strong credit, collateral and cashflow analysis skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deal processes effectively
• Demonstrated presentation sales, negotiation and influencing skills
• Demonstrated success working collaboratively to achieve team goals
• A thorough knowledge of capital structure regulatory limitations and dynamics of restructuring
• A general knowledge of complimentary banking products
