Title: VP & Senior Business Manager – Commercial Real Estate, Construction and Syndication

Department: Commercial Banking

Classification: Exempt

Reports to: SVP & Head of Commercial Banking


Essential Functions:

  1. Establishes and maintains commercial real estate customer relationships. 
  2. Stays abreast of market trends and changes and maintains relationship with financial institutions in soliciting syndication/participation opportunities. The Bank may act as the lead/agent bank in syndication and participation in construction projects.
  3. Evaluates and underwrites credit proposals.
  4. Presents credit proposals to Credit Committee.
  5. Coordinates with participating banks, attorneys and customers to arrange loan closings.
  6. Performs the administration duties and responsibilities of an agent bank.
  7. Monitors and controls the on-going construction projects.
  8. Reports marketing intelligence (rumors, significant issues, etc.).
  9. Participates in special projects as required.
  10. Follows compliance of the Bank’s policies and regulations.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from four-year college or university.
  • Minimum five years of related experience and/or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language/Communication Skills:

  • Fluent in oral and written English with the ability in Chinese languages is a plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
