Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes sales and marketing strategies for  the Massachusetts Plan Senior Care Options program including direct sales in both community and institutional settings
  • Develop and manage strategic account and client relationships with community agencies, vendor and provider partners
  • Directs others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines
  • Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact multiple functions and / or customer accounts (internal or external) including network development, operations and clinical programs
  • Ideal candidate will have proven success in Sales leadership position in Medicare and/or Medicaid healthcare market
  • Develops  market strategies to support products and drive membership/sales growth. Position develops strategies and tactical plans to support consumer/member innovation, support new product and program launches, and combat competitive pressures
  • Analyzes economic considerations, develop marketing forecasts, estimate costs, and manage program/project budgets
  • Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance and direction through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staff


To be considered for this position, applicants need to meet the qualifications listed in this posting. Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years Managed Medicaid and/or Medicare experiencerequired
  • Experience with Massachusetts Medicaid or Health Exchange, a plus
  • 7 - 10 years in health plan leadership and staff/people management required
  • Demonstrated experience leading senior managers/peers as well as operations and mid-level staff
  • Proven experience in sales/account management settings
  • Knowledge and experience in working with government contracts a plus (including knowledge of Medicare marketing guidelines)
  • Proven ability to effectively work with a diverse workforce in a highly matrixed, deadline driven  organization with quantifiable results demonstrating problem resolution, performance excellence and project leadership

  • Proficiency using and manipulating data, reporting and analytics and managing project  
  • 10 years’ experience in meeting or exceeding sales promotion/marketing targets
  • Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity
