VP Sales & Marketing
The Woodmansee Group is a Retained Executive Search Firm representing a leading Senior Living Community Company. They are seeking a VP Sales & Marketing. This position is directly responsible for sales growth, profitability and the development and planning of a successful strategy within the company with the purpose of maintaining a strong presence in the industry. This individual will lead the sales department and related activities through the use of formulated marketing techniques and sales strategies to achieve profit potentials, quotas, and sales goals commensurate with Company's objectives. S/he is responsible for ensuring that the programs and services delivered are consistent with Company's philosophy of Senior Living and that the highest quality of customer service is provided for our communities, supporting their ongoing efforts to maintain and increase occupancy.
The ideal candidate will have previous sales/marketingexperience including actual field sellingexperiencewith increasing areas/levels of responsibility and proven success. Deep and broad knowledge of the senior housing sector or hotel/hospitality experience or similar relevant industry including market indicators for future success.
This position reports to the President & COO and is located in Bloomfield Hills, MI.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITIES:
o Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related; MBA preferred
o Minimum 7-10 years previous sales/marketingexperience including actual field sellingexperiencewith increasing areas/levels of responsibility and proven success.
o Previous supervisory and/or management experiencerequired
o Specific training in sales and marketing techniques preferred
o Strong internet marketing and/or digital media experience
o Deep and broad knowledge of the senior housing sector including market indicators for future success

o Ability to manage team members and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizations policies to include: designing and implementing strategies that maximize employee's potential, training employees, planning, assisting, and directing work; appraising performance, reward and discipline employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
o Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
o Excellent customer service skills required
o Able to plan, prioritize and organize own work schedule and that of subordinates/sales force
o Strong overall business acumen; ability to understand and interpret business metrics and utilize latest business strategies to focus on outcomes and create opportunities for success
o Make timely and effective decisions and produce results through planning and implementation of processes, systems, and programs; stressing accountability and continuous improvement
