We’re looking for an individual to grow and develop a Canadian-based direct salesforce. The salesforce is responsible for acquiring private client assets for a well-established investment management firm. The firm will provide centralized support in the areas of marketing, legal and compliance, client services, investment operations and portfolio management.
The individual will directly interact with the Executive Vice President of the international private client group, senior management and key support personnel in the US and European offices to implement the organization’s international growth strategy in Canada.
1. Build and manage salesforce– Responsible for building and leading the team that brings in new business. Hire, coach, and motivate a team of professional, proactive and dynamic sales people. Work closely with the sales force to hone skills and improve close rates to deliver a consistent and optimally producing sales force, managing all sales activities by setting targets and managing to achieve production goals.
2. Manage lead flow– Ensure that leads provided by the marketing group are effectively managed by the sales team with the appropriate level of urgency and follow through.
3. Proposition and positioning– Working closely with the Executive Vice President to implement the Company’s overall positioning in Canada by selling the services to the high net worth Canadian marketplace.
4. Procedural oversight– Implement regulations and internal policies and procedures by working closely with Legal and Compliance.
