Morgan Stanley is searching for a Vice President, Product Analytics and Strategy. This role will report to the Executive Director of Marketing and Product Analytics within E*TRADE Data & Analytics (EDA) group. This individual will be responsible for leveraging data and analytics to power revenue growth in the growth plan and enable retail product strategy. The person must be a strategic thought leader with deep expertise in data and analytics and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in product, finance, technology, and strategy to drive business results. Your work will be critical in unearthing key insights into what is working and what can be improved, and offering specific, actionable recommendations for change.
At its core, success in this role involves translating complex data into insights that drive business strategy.
Develop insights and measurement capabilities to enable product strategy across investment, trading, and banking.
Create timely strategic and portfolio insights to enable executive updates on the health and direction of the retail business.
Create 360 view of customer relationships across products and their engagement on channels.
Present findings to key stakeholders with visualizations, clear language and logical rationale.
Apply various data modeling techniques to identify the most profitable path to incremental revenue and user growth across all channels.
Perform advanced analytics tasks, including but not limited to:
-Data Analysis and Mining
Master’s Degree (M.S.) or equivalent in statistics, math, economics or related scientific/quantitative field plus several years' experience in applied disciplines
6+ years of relevant experience; advanced SQL skills are a must.
Strong technical skills & proficiency in data analysis with ability to manipulate large datasets and to distill them into thoughtful conclusions and actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication and relationship skills
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau), and an understanding of how they can be used as a compelling communication tool.
Familiarity with analytics methods (e.g., statistics, ML, etc.) and analytical tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python, etc.)
Experience working in financial services industry a plus.
Independent thinker with the ability to learn new topics at a fast pace through initiative.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment with many concurrent deadlines
