Spotting trends and technologies that play key roles in the lives of our core hotelier audiences, as well as deep understanding with direct distribution strategies that drive engagement, the ultimate guest experience, sales/demand and ultimately revenue, is critical. The successful candidate will be highly entrepreneurial, thrive on collaboration, and possess a holistic and deep understanding of the elements of a profitable e-commerce operation. With full P&L accountability, the Vice President must have a business owner's mindset, continuously seeking out new initiatives that will increase sales and further the Company's overall strategic direction. This position reports to the SVP of Product and Marketing.
The VP of Direction Distribution will create the vision, design, implement and direct the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s), including strategy definition, requirements analysis and pricing. Monitors the development of business plans, managing lifecycles and product positioning in the marketplace. Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs. Establishes pricing strategies. Interacts with development and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10 years related experience; 8 years prior management experience. Advanced computer software skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects. Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and/or customers. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations without damage to the relationship.
