WildFire, PAN-DB and our other cloud-delivered security services make up the security core of Palo Alto Networks. Each of these services are best of breed in their respective spaces including advanced malware analysis and prevention, intrusion prevention, web filtering, and threat intelligence. While all of these services are extremely successful both in the market as well as at preventing attackers, the landscape is continually changing and in need of innovation. As the product management leader at Palo Alto Networks for Security Services, you will be fully responsible for developing and driving our product strategy for threat prevention and cloud-delivered security services. You will complement your team’s creativity through deep interaction with customers to understand their problems as well as in studying attackers and keeping up with the threatlandscape. You will be responsible for all stages of product life cycle (conception, definition, development, pricing, release, and post-release activities) managing strategic planning, feature selection and tactical activities. Other responsibilities include collaborating with Product Marketing to create product related sales and marketing materials and evangelizing the products and product strategy both internally and externally.

Specifically, this role will focus on the following areas:

  1. Continue driving deep, native integrations with the top public cloud providers and look for appropriate expansion opportunities with up-and-coming cloud providers
  2. Maintain and selectively grow our private cloud integrations
  3. Ensure the product strategy aligns with the broader Palo Alto Networks Security Operating Platform
  4. Identify potential disruptors to cloud networksecurity solutions and be ahead of the curve in figuring out how to pivot the product strategy to address the changing needs
  5. Drive our networksecurity strategy for containerized environments and potentially be the company leader for our overall container security strategy (which spans inline, endpoint, control plane, analytics, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Strong desire to take ownership of the full product lifecycle
  • Drive to grow an existing business and also design new, innovative, and disruptive security services
  • Strong domain expertise in security, threat prevention and the attack landscape including intrusion prevention, anti-malware, security analytics, and web security
  • Minimum 10 years in product management or equivalent
  • Significant experience building and launching enterprise class cloud-based products and services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable track record of success
  • Willingness to travel to meet with customers to gather insight as well as provide recommendations to make the products globally successful
  • Experience growing and managing a strong, technical product management team
  • Strong go to market and business analysis skills
