Essential Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the current Point of Sale and sales support product and process landscape and assess the solution sets for obsolescence, enhancement and additional opportunity
  • Leadership and execution of POS end of life strategies, including the physical terminal end of life initiative, identifying viable alternative POS solutions and the provider transition plan
  • Research and implement existing and emerging technology that can be leveraged to simplify the account origination experience, create less friction at the point of sale and facilitate better provider and consumer engagement
  • Partner with sales leadership to communicate with strategic relationships regarding POS solutions and engagement opportunities
  • Partner with Marketing, Vendor and Training teams on the creation, execution and management of a POS discovery strategy and feedback loop for providers during the Early Months (EMOB) lifecycle
  • Research and report out on competitive Point of Sale solutions, including what technology they go to market with to engage customers and coordinate findings with the field sales teams
  • Implementation and commercialization of an in-store direct to consumer strategy, including touch points for applications and acceptance supporting a provider agnostic consumer engagement strategy
  • Manage and represent POS on enterprise level projects such as One Acq, One FD, NAB relationship, and Transaction channel indication
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years relevant work experience in a financial services industry
  • 3+ years of project or strategy execution and leadership
  • Strong technical acumen, familiarity with emerging consumer, payments and/or sales enablement technology
  • Experience in research and identification of solutions to meet enterprise business needs

Desired Characteristics:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of current Synchrony Financial POS and sales enablement solutions
  • Demonstrated strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with internal/external partners on product ideation and project management
  • Client or Partner Management, experience presenting to and influencing external stakeholders
  • Experience working in a matrix environment with multiple functions and levels of management
  • Demonstrated leadership, relationship management, influencing, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management and/or Agile certification
