The position of VP of Purchasing will lead, provide leadership, direction and motivation to the Purchasing, FF&E, and logistics team regarding team member culture, procurement, sourcing, and execution of projects. The Vice President will be responsible for overseeing all Purchasing and FF&E projects and team company-wide, with the intent to restructure and redevelop the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
¨ Oversee all facets of Purchasing, FF&E, Inventory, and Logistics, including personnel, project management, sourcing, brand specifications, etc.
¨ Lead a team of 100+ team members to successfully performing in their roles
¨ Develop strategic sourcing and procurement plans to procure best quality products within budget requirements
¨ Lead all sourcing efforts, securing partnerships with manufacturers, distributors and supplies to align with brand specifications
¨ Develop and frequently update brand specification book
¨ Negotiate and contract freight and transit for all FF&E material in partnership
¨ Ensure team develops budget templates and maintain budgets and expenses for each project
¨ Review and approve contracts and ensure vendors are upholding agreed upon terms
¨ Representing the company in negotiating national and international contracts and formulating policies with suppliers
¨ Lead communication to ensure buyer, PM, and designer are working collaboratively together
¨ Reviewing purchasing orders and contracts for conformance to policies and global planning
¨ Assisting with on-going evaluations to identify the common causes of product waste and inventory management inefficiencies
¨ Resolving vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers
¨ Train buyer on product knowledge and specifications
¨ Resolve receiving and accounts payable issues through process improvement
¨ Identify opportunities in target channels through an in-depth knowledge of those channels and form a strategic plan to target key opportunities
¨ Deliver profitable projects and supports the department to deliver growth in accordance with the business plan and wider business goals
¨ Form relationships with key clients throughout the company with a focus on service
¨ Global strategic sourcing
¨ Leads a process with other member of senior leadership to improve on operational processes
¨ Direct and coach senior leadership in business development and teambuilding skills
¨ Maintains a working understanding of Fusion and its involvement of departments daily business
¨ Communicate effectively follow and give oral and written directions
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
¨ Minimum of a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college/university with a concentration in business, finance, or hospitality management. Experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
¨ Must have a minimum of ten (10+) years of combined FF&E experience
¨ Must have a minimum of ten (10+) years in Purchasing experience
¨ Must have a minimum of five (10+) years executive management level experience in purchasing, logistics and FF&E
