American Health Network's corporate office is seeking a Vice President of Operations to be responsible for managing the hands-on operational aspects of the company. This individual provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people and systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

The Vice President of Operations provides leadership and organizational planning to ensure the strategic technology solutions and operations meet business objectives and align with corporate goals.  Responsible for leading, directing and creating a wide variety of programs that have downstream effects enterprise-wide through the establishment and management of multi-department programs and initiatives.

This position requires a high level, but functional, understanding of the organization from a business and IT perspective, along with an understanding of UHG, UHC and Optum/Care. The person in this position may from time to time lead or actively participate in a multitude of cross department leadership meetings, steering committees, and executive level initiative meetings.

The person filling this role will be an effective communicator with excellent collaboration skills at all levels of the organization and will be able to set up multi-department program management initiatives.

  • Must have a BS degree in a related field along with at least 10 years' experience in a service environment or 5 or more years' experience in management of a functional business unit.
  • Advanced negotiation and finacial analysis skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and complex organizational management skills
  • Knowledge of project management processes
  • Prefer 5 or more years' experiene in healthcare/care delivery
