SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Role: We are seeking a VP Media Services to drive the growth and evolution of R2i's media practice across an incredible roster of existing and net new clients. This role will oversee a nationally distributed team of media planners and buyers and will be responsible for growth and delivery of all media services within R2i.

Who Are You: A rock star with at least 15+ year of hands-on experience in media strategy, planning, and buying across digital and traditional channels including content syndication, SEO, display, paid search, social, OOH, broadcast, and print. You have an experienced portfolio across B2B and B2C overseeing budgets of $3M-15M+ annually, and you excel at creating and managing unique and cutting-edge media strategies to help clients meet greater business goals. You're an experienced manager and able to inspire and coach your team into ever-better performance while managing their growth paths.

You're able to dive into existing plans and find opportunities for improvement, are a master of maximizing ROI, and can clearly communicate optimizations, results, and strategies to a broad audience including executive levels. You are also able to lead new engagements from scratch helping to define the right strategy and mix to solve business problems across the entire brand and demand funnel and can coach a team to empower them to do the same.

You're passionate about media and love finding new and innovative ways to leverage targeting, tactics, and technology, all to drive greater return on investment for clients and help them meet their marketing and business goals. You're fluent in the language of B2B marketing and technology and can speak intelligently across the board on account based marketing, target account lists, paid search advertising, programmatic media, OOH, premium partnerships, and the role of media in a larger marketing strategy. You know the landscape of media vendors and can speak just as confidently about your experience running ABM programs with DemandBase or MadisonLogic as you do about paid search via Google Ads, programmatic display via The Trade Desk, social campaigns on Facebook and LinkedIn, or partnerships with Fortune. You are an exceptional communicator and can work within teams and clients to not only sell the big ideas, but also collaborate and comprise to meet goals, budgets, and time constraints.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute strategic media services roadmap in alignment with broader agency vision and strategies and within a matrixed environment with other agency VPs Support R2i's Sales and Client Services teams on new business opportunities for net new and existing clients including responding to RFPs, pitches, and proposal creation
  • Manage a nationally distributed team of Media Directors, Planners/Buyers, SEO Strategists, and Social Media Strategists
  • Serve as point of escalation and senior level oversight for media clients, with support from your Media Directors
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Strategists, Technologists, and Creatives to plan, implement, and improve account performance aligned with client goals and initiatives
  • Proactively source and manage partnerships with key media vendors such as Google and Adobe, developing relationships as needed to ensure continued alignment with industry leaders
  • Drive innovation and evolution of R2i's media services
  • Actively participate in client meetings, including presentations of strategies to clients and prospects

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 15+ years of media planning and buying experience; agency environment a must Demonstrated senior leader
  • Experience with industry leading DSPs, DMPs, bid management platforms, social networks, and other tools and vendors such as Adobe Ad Cloud, Kenshoo, Marin, The Trade Desk, MediaMath, Centro, DoubleClick, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. required
  • Experience with B2C and B2B marketing and specifically Account Based Marketing tactics and technology strongly preferred
  • Exceptional analytics, project management skills, writing and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a geographically distributed team
  • Significant client-facing experience and comfort with presenting and pitching to C-level executives
  • P&L management required
  • Team management experiencerequired, preferably including experience managing remote teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
