Here?s What We?re Looking For
We?re in the market for a talented, experienced marketing leader who can help us build a world-class B2B marketing organization. With a deep understanding of our target customer and the right product to meet their needs, we?re looking for someone to help us build a predictable, repeatable marketing funnel.
We have aggressive quantitativemarketing goals for 2018, but this is more than a demand gen position. To accomplish our lead gen goals, we?ll also need leadership and oversight over branding, productmarketing, and messaging efforts as well. The ideal candidate will be the perfect mix of player / coach who possesses an intuitive understanding of what needs to be done to meet our 2018 goals, who can build a world-class team, and who contributes their own ideas and original thinking to complement our founders? vision.
Our Director / VP will be given the budget and bandwidth to create and lead a robust, high-functioning marketing team.
Here are some of the specific areas we?re looking for our marketing leader to own:
? Content Generation. You?ll oversee the production of thoughtful, original blog posts, white papers, case studies, ebooks, videos, and more which evangelize incentive marketing for our target segment, doubling down on the pieces which drive SQLs for our sales team.
? Account-Based Marketing. We?ll look to marketing to target our highest-potential prospects in a targeted, thoughtful fashion.
? Paid Ads. Whether it?s retargeting or driving traffic to our site, you?ll oversee our paid marketing strategy.
? Linkage to the Sales Team. You?ll work in conjunction with our sales leader to ensure we?re putting our efforts towards the highest-priority accounts.
? Product Marketing. Our product does amazing things, but most prospects don?t know about it until they talk to sales. Moving forward, marketing will be responsible for highlighting key differentiators to educate the customer before we speak with them.
? Event Strategy. Done right, events can be a meaningful mechanism to drive awareness and lead generation. You?ll be responsible for selecting which events we attend, and developing a plan of action for each.
? Branding. You?ll lead efforts to develop the core tenets of our brand, with particular emphasis on imagery and how we articulate our value prop.
? Messaging. As we continue to develop our brand in the marketplace, you?ll be responsible for better understanding our current and prospective customers and leading an effort to develop on-brand, compelling messages accordingly.
And here?s what we?re looking for in return:
? 5+ years in a marketing organization, including 2+ years in a managerial role
? Track record of success
? Ability to recruit a talented team
? Leadership qualities
? Intellectual and analytical excellence
? High degree of motivation ? willing to put in the work required to create a successful marketing organization
