The Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT) has the mission to catalyze innovation for Fidelity and our clients and supports the entire Fidelity businesses.  We are seeking a VP Innovation Ecosystem based in our New York City office. Your job will be to identify, assess and engage our senior executives with the best startups that, by partnering with Fidelity, could help us accelerate execution of our strategic growth initiatives.  The ExpertiseWe’re Looking For

  • You must  have a 10+ years’ experience as a corporate / technology / product  strategist, corporate innovator, strategy consultant, leader at a startup or a  startups’  incubator / accelerator
  • An  outstanding ability to explore the ecosystem, connect with investors,  accelerators and founders, and to summarize and bring your findings to Fidelity’s senior executives, with the goal to originate opportunities for  partnerships
  • Advanced degreerequired; MBA is a plus

The Purpose of Your Role Your purpose will be to originate engagement opportunities between Fidelity’s senior executives and the most relevant startups that can accelerate Fidelity strategy execution, by becoming Fidelity vendors or commercial partners.Based in New York, you will focus on the startup ecosystem in NYC and Boston.  The SkillsYou Bring

  • You  can find, connect and manage a relationship with top tier entrepreneurs, investors, C-suite individuals
  • You are a natural networker, and proactively look for ways to nurture your  intellectual  and social curiosity
  • You  have the ability to translate a new technology / trend in business terms; for example: Fintech, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Augmented Reality,  Healthcare
  • You  can establish yourself as a thought leader internally and externally on specific technologies and/or business opportunities; ability to build strong relationships with a meaningful network of high-level thought leaders
  • You have a proven understanding of both the Startup and the Corporate environments, and can value pros and cons of both; you understand how startups and corporates can establish mutually beneficial relationships and ideally have a proven track record on establishing successful partnerships.

The ValueYou Deliver

  • You work closely with Fidelity’s senior executives and understand their strategic intent
  • You use that strategic intent to scan  the ecosystem and find the most relevant startups to partner with, in order to  accelerate strategy execution
  • You finally  originate engagement events between Fidelity’s most relevant senior executives and the most relevant startups
