Are you our next VP-Human Resources- Global Functions and Commercial?

As a trusted senior level advisor and business partner to multiple C-suite executives (including Finance, IT, Human Resources, Law, Public Affairs, and Commercial) and their leadership teams, the Vice President, Human Resources – Global Functions and Commercial will provide consultative and business focused support and services which drive a culture of high engagement, innovation, continuous improvement, and enhanced operational and financial business results. This person will provide oversight for the delivery and execution of all strategic HR initiatives within the Global Functions and Commercial organizations, including talent management/development/deployment, rewards, employee engagement, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, change management, etc. Provides effective coaching/guidance to leadership and employees. Provides leadership in the development and execution of overall HR strategic and operating plans that maximize return on investment for the company.

What will you do?


  • Strategic HR Business Partnering: Provide strategic human resources leadership as a member of the Global Functions and Commercial leadership teams. Work with leaders to develop and implement people and organization strategy to ensure business objectives are achieved in concert with the broader strategic priorities. Consult with leaders on business issues, provide insight, and facilitate timely decision making. Provide proactive, innovative and customer-oriented HR solutions based upon knowledge of business objectives and employee needs.
  • Resource Planning: Forecast people requirements and skill competencies to support strategic business objectives, organizational alignment, and implement plans to close gaps. This includes talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, organizational structure, and strategic workforce plans.
  • HR Services: Coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of HR Services including reward programs, continuous learning and development, talent management, performance management, governance and compliance, employee relations/investigations, communication and change management, recruiting, immigration/relocation, etc. Oversee/Coordinate with HR Specialists and HR Service Delivery for support services as appropriate. Participate in the selection and placement of critical talent as well as deployment throughout the organization. Employ a variety of communication strategies to ensure employees receive information in a timely and effective manner. Ensure the development and implementation of short- and long-term training strategies to support skills development of leaders and employees.
  • HR Strategy: As member of the HR Leadership Team (HRLT), is responsible for developing and executing enterprise wide HR initiatives and functional activities. Accountable to assist in developing, implementing and administering HR projects including a focus on change management, workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, career management, managerial effectiveness, and other people development projects; specifically accountable for providing oversight of HR initiatives. Accountable for developing the talent and bench within the HR function
  • Environment: Partner with senior leaders to create a work environment that promotes employee engagement and inclusiveness. Leverage engagement tools and initiatives to understand key issues and improve overall engagement levels. Responsible for survey administration, communications of results, focus group facilitation, and action planning. Miscellaneous projects and job duties as assigned
  • People Leadership: Develop and coach employees in order to retain and expand organizational talent through focused attention and effort. Provide timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles and the business. Manage performance issues when necessary. Work with employees on their career development plans.

What do you need for this role?


  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive, professional work experience in HR across a broad range of disciplines, preferably with a Fortune 500 company
  • 5+ years managerial experience
  • Proven experience in developing and leading a high performing team
  • Proven experience in partnering with C-suite executives and across global functions
  • Strong knowledge of U.S employment laws and practices
  • Working knowledge of global employment laws and labor unions preferred
  • Labor relations knowledge and experience preferred
  • Proven experience managing multiple, complex projects and priorities
  • Proven ability to manage and get results in a matrixed environment
  • Proven business partnering and consultative skills
  • Proven strategic planning capabilities
  • Strong understanding of business operations and functional requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to create culture of adaptability and accountability
