Halfaker has an opening for a Vice President, Health Operations to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:

 

  • Support the successful execution of all projects across the Health Operations portfolio to meet/exceed performance, schedule, and financial goals, with a focus on the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA),and the Defense Health Agency (DHA)
  • Design, develop and implement processes and metrics across all areas of the portfolio
  • Support the development and execution of the Company Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan
  • Support solution development for new business opportunities  to include creating and/or reviewing content, level of effort and schedule
  • Provide engineering and management expertise to assigned projects to ensure all project requirements are satisfied and deliverables are accomplished
  • Mentor existing staff to develop the next level of leadership within Operations
  • Build relationships with clients across multiple agencies
  • Conduct ISR briefings for specific projects

Required Skills

  • Ability to create a plan to meet objectives, communicate the plan to the customer and the team, and execute to the plan to achieve success
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple, concurrent activities with short turn-around times with multiple internal and external customers
  • Working knowledge of Application/Software Development best practices with an ability to implement that knowledge into delivering high quality products
  • Proven track record of building a Health Portfolio while providing superior execution and customer service
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Enjoy working in a team environment

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Math, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s Degree a plus.
  • Must have 10+ years of Industry/Government experience related to managing T&M, FFP, CPFF, FPP/LOE and/or IDIQ task order and contracts with the Federal Government
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of management experience with proven leadership skills
  • Minimum 5 years of supporting Federal Health Agencies
  • Candidates must be US citizens and will be required to undergo a background investigation in order to be granted access to sensitive information
