The VP, Group Partner, Portfolio Management participates in creating outstanding work that results in success for our clients by overseeing all major media initiatives, providing strategic direction for the entire account, and ensuring growth and development of staff.  This individual will drive the team to explore and identify innovative partnerships and cutting-edge digital opportunities. This individual is an expert in the digital space, with a strong background in performance media and sets the digital strategy, acting as a trusted partner and consultant for clients. This role directly reports into the EVP, Global Managing Partner. Digital disciplines covered in this role include: display, mobile, search, social, programmatic, data strategy and emerging technology.


  • Oversees staff in the day-to-day activities of the department
  • Oversees media plan development and implementation
  • Develops media strategies consistent with brand marketing objectives and selling strategy
  • Recommends targeted, innovative media vehicles consistent with media strategies
  • Maintains relationships with all levels of client
  • Ensures best practices are applied across account responsibilities
  • Prepares and makes presentations to clients regarding media recommendations, ensuring buy-in
  • Plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates work activities of subordinates and handles all personnel requirements for immediate staff including training and development
  • Seeks out information to remain current on media trends
  • Leads alignment and integration efforts with digital measurement tools and platforms
  • Follows digital trends and develops strategic POVs for clients to follow
  • Evaluates global digital buying opportunities and strategic partnerships (e.g., Google, Facebook)



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred

Work Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in digital media
  • 3+ years of management/supervisory experience required
  • Experience in multiple business categories
  • Extensive experience writing and presenting relevant information
  • Background in digital strategy and/or consulting in digital or database marketing
  • Familiarity with different digital channels (e.g., web, mobile, CRM, social media, search, programmatic)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Experience working with large, complex data
  • Familiarity with multi-channel measurement and attribution solutions


  • Strong knowledge and experience with SEM, SEO, biddable/programmatic media
  • Understanding of marketing and communications process
  • Demonstrated ability to manage an account
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience working with senior-level clients
  • Strong negotiation skills, tact and diplomacy
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to develop digital marketing communication plans specifically encompassing social media strategies
  • Ability to drive projects from conception to completion; project management experience
  • Proven knowledge of online planning and research tools and resources
  • Experience with campaign management/ad serving technology: Double Click DART, Atlas DMT
  • Preferred working knowledge of third party Internet marketing research: comScore Media Metrix, Nielsen NetView, @Plan, eMarketer and others
