Executive Compensation leadership position for one of our premier clients located in Downtown Chicago

Job Description

Responsible for the global executive compensation group, including executive compensation, equity administration, and global remuneration regulation compliance.

Executive Compensation

  • Designs, implements, and administers compensation programs for eligible employees, officers, and executives
  • Oversees the administration of executive compensation plans and executive compensation analysis, including all equity programs and stock administration activities
  • Advises senior management involving the interpretation and administration of executive compensation programs
  • Consults with senior management and HR colleagues on job offer development for senior roles
  • Develops employee communications to enhance understanding and valuation of executive compensation programs
  • Oversees participation in surveys of competitive executive compensation and variable pay practices; partners with Compensation Consulting team to ensure appropriate use of these survey sources in market pricing activities

Compensation And Benefits Committee Activities

  • Develops Compensation and Benefits Committee ("CBC") agenda and oversees preparation of all meeting materials
  • Coordinates independent compensation consultant activities
  • Participates in drafting the Proxy Statement's Compensation Discussion and Analysis section
  • Partners with Global Compensation, Compliance, and Risk Management to ensure appropriate CBC oversight and approval of processes and documents pertaining to global remuneration regulatory compliance
  • Working closely with the CEO, CHRO, Head of Compensation and Benefits, and Corporate Secretary,

Team Leadership

  • Sets goals and priorities for Executive Compensation group in support of direction set for the overall organization and participates in developing Global Compensation team's strategic plan
  • A BS degree and work experience in executive compensation in the financial services industry
  • Advanced Degree and related industry qualification is preferred
  • Significant experience in identifying relevant analyses, interpreting results, and communicating recommendations
  • Excellent oral and written communication with senior level audiences
  • Ability to manage the full life cycle of program changes – from opportunity identification through effective implementation, including building effective partnerships across the organization
  • In-depth knowledge of executive compensation, including FASB and SEC guidelines relating to the accounting treatment and reporting of executive compensation
  • Strong management skills to determine priorities and develop team members
$170K - $200K
