As the leader of our Engineering Organization, you will contribute by:

  • Leading a powerful engineering team to victory by ensuring that our games are of the highest level of technical excellence
  • Being the manager of engineering managers and a team builder who grows both groups as well as individuals
  • Directing, overseeing and communicating regular updates regarding project engineering efforts including game client and server technology, development roadmap and live operations across games
  • Managing the engineering budget
  • Working with Human Resources on all people related issues
  • Oversight and management of all technical personnel
  • Collaborating with a Central Technology R&D team and game teams to drive prioritization of the roadmap for future technical initiatives
  • In collaboration with your senior technical talent proactively identifying development bottlenecks across all areas, disciplines, and projects and coordinate solutions
  • Working with TDs to carefully manage the balance of new technology and technical debt
  • Mentoring and coaching to help grow the talents within our engineering organization

Your background includes:

  • 10+ years of programming experience and 15+ years of management experience, including 5 years at an executive level.
  • Strong knowledge of client, server, tools, and internet technologies
  • Strong experience in managing engineering managers
  • Track record in successfully scaling up an engineering group, or growing in a company that has scaled up project count
  • Ability to lead and motivate people to overcome challenges in fast paced, ever-changing environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong process skills
  • Strong knowledge of best development practices and change management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Driven and entrepreneurial, yet open and approachable
  • Experience in multi-site engineering operations
  • Willing to roll up sleeves and do whatever needs to be done to make this a great place to work
