This position is a key strategic resource to management, managing directors, brand group heads and planning staff with regard to our channel planning approach, execution of our proprietary tools, management of client projects and development of research applications across brand teams and clients. This role is also designed to work collaboratively alongside Consumer Insights managers and directors to ensure consistent communication planning design.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Influence and consistently drive forward the 2 of the 3 pillars of channel insights focus 1) Plan Strategy Practices, Tools and Research and 2) Training and Integration. This requires that our methods and process are fully defined and understood by all planning stakeholders, and that best practices in channel planning be sought out by the Channel Insights Director(s). Regular attendance at industry functions and participation in thought leadership committees with regard to channel planning is important to the success of this role. (30%) Meet regularly with Brand Group Directors to ensure guidance and feedback is continually feeding the output of the group. (10%) Assist and, where called upon, lead the channel planning and channel insights role in new business opportunities. (15%) Coordinate with Associate Director, ongoing training and information updates for all planning stakeholders with regard to new communication channels and new uses for traditional channels. (25%) Act as a core research touchpoint for outside vendors (and attending internal presentations coordinated by other HMI departments) relative to the development of our proprietary channel planning tools and needs assessment of our resource toolbox. (10%) Assist Managing Director, Channel Insights in establishing channel planning best practices to be utilized with consistency across all HMI brand teams. (10%)
