Guidepoint is seeking qualified candidates for a senior corporate sales position.  The person would be responsible for selling access to our subscription-based research service to various business units within existing client corporations such as marketing, corporate development, strategy, business development and market research. The majority of existing clients will be in the healthcare sector, but this remit will also cover clients in other sectors including energy, industrials, legal, retail, media, technology and telecom.

What You’ll Do:

  • Generate revenue by selling access to our subscription-based primary research service to existing clients
  • Develop a sales strategy designed to achieve renewal rates and upsell rates set by sales management
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate executives in corporate development, strategy, sales and marketing, business development and competitive intelligence functions
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified business units within existing customers
  • Increase user base at client firms. Monitor client usage to proactively promote Guidepoint subscriptions
  • Book consistent prospect meetings through cold calling accounts and attending industry networking events
  • Develop a working knowledge of the industries that Guidepoint Global covers
  • Develop a strong knowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape and be able to effectively articulate our value proposition
  • Provide client feedback to sales and management

What You Have:

  • 5+ years of salesexperience to corporations, ideally selling a subscription-based B2B information service
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, both verbally and textually
  • Excellent track record of managing a diverse client base, and skilled in identifying new opportunities
  • Broad base knowledge of the sales process from lead generation to relationship management
  • Mature communicator capable of handling high-profile clients
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to travel domestically
