The VP, Business Development leads, directs and manages sales efforts through acquisition of US reinsurance accounts for all RGA product lines. Work closely with business units to execute strategic sales plan. Maintain daily contact with Senior Executives of US Global client companies regarding treaty negotiation, pricing, and risk management issues.


Responsibilities

  • Leads, directs and manages RGA Global Markets sales efforts through acquisition of US reinsurance business
  • Target and Lead "C" Level meetings with Senior RGA Executives and counterparts at strategic accounts key to our success in the US market
  • Creates strategic marketing plans
  • Manages sales process for assigned accounts in the US
  • Negotiates and structures reinsurance documents which embody client and RGA business objectives
  • Oversees all contract negotiations, both new and proposed revisions for client accounts
  • Works closely with business units to ensure effective and efficient quoting process and high level of customer service
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience


Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Actuarial Science, Administration, Marketing or related degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 15+ years life or health insurance/reinsurance experience

Preferred:

  • ASA or FSA accreditation
  • Master's Degree, MBA
  • FLMI, CLU
  • CPA accreditation
  • Prior life or health insurance/reinsurance sales experience
