  • Lead Business Development/Merger and Aquisition for Idera, Inc.
  • Report directly to CEO
  • Acquire $100M of pro forma EBITDA over next 3years
  • Acquisitions must be pro forma accretive


  • Build strategic plan for prioritized/targeted acquisitions
  • Work closely with 3 General Managers to align M&A priorities with GTM and product strategy
  • Coordinate with PE owners (TA and HGGC) on strategy and opportunities
  • Lead initial discussions with targets to evaluate alignment with Idera strategy (e.g. download/try/buy, no professional services, high velocity sales model, high recurring revenue, accretive multiple)
  • Shepherd opportunities to LOI signing and then support due diligence team working on pro forma/integration plan
  • Support Finance in building business case to share with Board on targets
  • Maintain pipeline of active/paused/passed deals – share weekly updates with Board
  • Manage internal resources researching partner and acquisition options
  • Manage 10+ active opportunities simultaneously


  • Undergrad in Finance/Accounting/Operations
  • Significant experience in modeling and evaluating deals and deal structures with at least mid-tier investment banking or private equity firm 
  • Software/technology focused work experience (must be technical enough to understand opportunities and issues)
  • Comfortable interacting with C-level executives, private equity MDs, and outside investment banking professionals
  • 5 or more years of professional experience
