General Summary: This position is responsible for providing inventive, strategic leadership for the Enterprise Analytics Division. This position will leverage advanced analytics and statistical theory and modeling to drive innovation and revenue. Essential Job Functions: 1. Collaborate with internal departments to establish the advanced analytics strategy and roadmap that will deliver innovative solutions to clients. 2. Work to evolve and manage analytics and forecasting methodologies and processes to ensure congruency with organizational goals. 3. Formulate and apply modeling and optimizing methods to develop and interpret information in order to make recommendations, and guide organization decision making and business goals. 4. Direct the preparation of short- and long-term budgets based on Company goals. Oversee analytics division financial and budget activities to ensure forecasted expectations are met. 5. Confer and partner with senior executives to participate in setting Company strategies and objectives to facilitate the achievement of organizational missions and values. 6. Analyze operations to evaluate performance, status on objectives, resource consumption, and to determine areas of cost reduction, improvements, or necessitated policy change. Report on divisional successes and deficiencies. 7. Adopt analytic methodologies and optimization approaches to facilitate the maximization business performance, to ensure successful continuing operations, to maximize return on investment (ROI), and to increase productivity. 8. Interview, hire, and counsel direct report employees. Delegate activities to appointed divisional directors and managers. Ensure that responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all subordinates are defined and understood. 9. Ensure analytical consulting service and statistical expertise is available to the Company. 10. Establish and maintain positive and effective business relationships with internal and external contacts.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities: 1. Extensive knowledge of statistical theory and marketing applications of multivariate modeling and design techniques. 2. Ability to align analytics resources to accomplish objectives. 3. Ability to lead the creation of analytical innovation. 4. Ability to articulately disseminate analysis requirements and project specifications. 5. Knowledge of all Company products, services, policies, and procedures. 6. Ability to make operational management decisions in response to changing objectives or environments. 7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and provide consistent, high-quality results. 8. Demonstrated mentoring and team building skills. 9. Broad knowledge of various statistical and data mining methodologies including including linear and nonlinear regression modeling, ANOVA, cluster analysis, Naïve Bayes decision tree analysis, discriminate analysis, PCA, canonical correlation analysis, CHAID, and Life Time Value analysis. 10. Ability to make decisions in sensitive and sometimes critical areas and communicating decisions to appropriate individuals. 11. Must have integrity, fortitude, and credibility complimented by a bias for action, strong sense of accountability, and highly developed persuasion and negotiation skills. 12. Ability to understand needs of a multi-company environment. 13. Ability to successfully lead a team of associates. Education, Certification, and Experience: 1. Bachelor's Degree in statistics, mathematics, or equivalent required. 2. 12 to 15 years of relevant analytics experience, with management experience is required. 3. Previous demonstrated success in leading a division is required. 4. Familiarity with large datasets strongly preferred. 5. Master's degree or PhD is preferred.
