VMWare Engineer

We have an immediate (hybrid)VMWare Engineer position available in Arlington, VA. If you join our team in this role, you will support a team responsible for the enterprise planning, installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work in a technical team to optimize and maintain the "As Is" architecture while simultaneously setting conditions to integrate emerging capabilities and capacity to support customer's global operations.
• Utilize outstanding communications skills, excellent problem-solving skills, exceptional initiative tempered with sound judgement and superior technical proficiency.
• Install, Manage, and troubleshoot VMware vSphere and vRealize Suite.
• Designing and manage systems in multi-datacenter environments, including HA/DR design.
• Coordinate and perform system patching for applications and operating systems.

Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

• VMware Virtualization Experience - design, implement, and manage VMware environment, including Datacenter cluster(s) managed by vCenter
• Experience Virtualize Computing Environment (VCE) is a plus
• Install, Manage, and troubleshoot VMware vSphere and vRealize Suite.
• Proficient with VMware Site Recovery Manager and vSphere Replication.
• Proficient with VMware NSX, preferably NSX-T.
• Strong documentation skills, need to document architecture and processes.
• Knowledge of Windows Administration:
  • Proficient with DNS, DHCP, AGPM, GPO
  • Proficient with PowerShell
  • Proficient with Microsoft Active Directory and the PowerShell commands required to automate actions within Active Directory
• Experience with AWS EC2 in GovCloud.
• Experience with VMC on AWS.
• Demonstrated experience working at a client site in a fast moving environment and delivering measurable results.
• Experience designing and managing systems in multi-datacenter environments, including HA/DR design.
• Coordinate and perform system patching for applications and operating systems.
• Knowledge and working experience with Windows (Preferred 2012 or later versions) and Active Directory
• Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment
• Proficient with Microsoft SCCM is a plus
• Experience deploying and implementing DISA STIG security controls for Windows Server and VMware operating systems
• Experience with vRealize Network Insight is a plus

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
