Summary
The Visual Designer Senior Specialist concepts and produces high-quality, on-brand digital designs and motion graphics that advance Spire’s culture and drive company growth. This role ensures consistency of brand and creative across all owned digital channels, as well as supports print design and production. The ideal candidate has a love for all things digital, is a go-getter who reaches across boundaries to get the job done, works quickly and thrives in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, agile environment. Duties and Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design and execute creative assets across digital channels, including web, email, social, video and presentations, using both iterative design and agile methodologies
- Create motion graphics, animations and visual effects for a variety of digital mediums
- Provide design and production support for printed collateral, including brochures, fliers, signage, invitations, logos, identity design or other offline graphics
- Assist with print production coordination, including production specs, cost estimates, production schedules and vendor communication
- Collaborate with designers, copywriters, developers, video editors, producers, and integrated communications and marketing teammates
- Collaborate with video team to storyboard video concepts utilizing motion graphics
- Translate complex concepts and information into simplified, compelling visuals and designs, including icons, illustrations and infographics
- Develop brand standards and templates for digital channels
- Design and format PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences
- Collaborate with external vendors and agencies in the development and production of digital creative assets
- Uphold and champion the visual identity guidelines and standards
- Stay up to date on technical knowledge and industry best practices
- Build strong relationships with team members and external suppliers to best meet company goals

Supervisory Responsibilities
Required Education (certifications, licenses)
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital or web design, graphic communications or related field
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
- Minimum 7 years professional graphic design experience in a creative in-house or agency environment, including minimum 3 years experience designing for digital channels
- Minimum 1 year of motion graphics experience
- Strong online portfolio, demonstrating a high level of print and digital design, illustration and motion graphics expertise across channels
- Strong understanding of fundamental design principles, including branding, typography, iconography, composition and color
- In-depth knowledge and expertise using Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, with the willingness and ability to adopt new tools as required
- Understanding of responsive design, web requirements, UX/UI principles and best practices across web, email and social channels
- Familiarity with both iterative design and agile methodologies
- Experience with presentation design using Microsoft PowerPoint
- Understanding of video production and post-production processes preferred
- Advanced presentation design experience preferred
