Department Profile   In the Technology, Intellectual Property & E-Commerce Law Group, in Morgan Stanley’s Legal and Compliance Division. This group is responsible for providing support in these functional areas, as well as Privacy and Data Protection, across the Morgan Stanley enterprise globally. The position will be based in New York. Ideal candidate should have 4 to 6 years’ experience at a law firm or major in-house legal department in:   Position Responsibilities  Full range of technology related transactions, e.g., software licensing, data licensing, SaaS agreements, development, web services, telecommunications and hardware acquisitions, etc.  


Skills Required


Outsourcing transactions, technology and business process outsourcing.Thorough knowledge of intellectual property laws.Understanding of the range of legal issues implicated in doing business on-line.Electronic trading arrangements.Understanding of US privacy and related laws, specifically as relevant to financial services industry, e.g., GLBA.Experience representing financial services firms would be a plus.

Excellent drafting skills.

Ability to function effectively in a matrixed environment.

Ability to respond to the needs of a demanding client base.#LI-JJ1
