The Trust Advisor serves on not-for-profit, corporate, and individual trust and investment accounts and willparticipate in departmental sales efforts and development of referral relationships. The Trust Advisor will serve as subject matter expert with regards to retirement planning, estate planning, business succession planning and other tax planning issues. If the Trust Advisor is the key associate in the mind of the client, this position willcontinue to lead the relationship management efforts.

Essential responsibilities of the Vice President – Trust Advisor:

  • Work closely with client team to provide trust administration and planning (retirement, estate, business succession and tax) capabilities to clients and prospects. This is a client facing role.
  • Manage accounts within established policies and procedures. Adhere to compliance and audit standards in the administration of accounts. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Trust and Investment changes and issues
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures to maintain the products and services of the group.
  • Work with team to grow revenue for FBTI. Work closely with clients, COI and internal partners toexpand and grow relationship.
  • Fiduciary Risk Management - Serve as a voting member of the Trust Administrative Committee (TAC) and other committees as assigned. Acting as a fiduciary while protecting the interests of the trust company and working in a fiduciary capacity for your clients. This often occurs with account opening decisions, account closing decisions, distribution from accounts and/or any fiduciary issues that may arise on accounts.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Graduate or law degrees and/or industry specific certifications are desirable.
  • A minimum of ten years of financial or legal industry experience is required with at least five years of trust administration experience.
  • CFP, CWS and/or CTFA preferred
  • NASD Series 6 or 7, Series 65, and State Insurance Licenses are not required.
  • Industry specific certifications are beneficial.
