Founded in 1974, we provide professional services on a wide variety of projects at the federal, state and local level as well as having a strong presence in the private sector throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. SHELADIA is actively seeking a Vice President to lead its US operations in the DC/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) region for immediate employment. The candidate will be a proven leader and team player, with excellent verbal and written communications skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present information to our clients and partners. The Vice President is responsible for orchestrating all aspects of engineering and architectural activities within SHELADIA’s domestic group in the DMV area and must be capable of managing and directing a multi-disciplined team. The selected candidate will collaborate with his/her peers in SHELADIA’s other business units as needed to achieve corporate goals of growth and profitability while serving its purpose of delivering excellence in infrastructure and serving our clients’ needs. This position plans, organizes, and leads the activities of our US operations. The activity areas include project planning, management and delivery, quality control, business development and marketing, strategic planning, budgeting, and staff development, among others. The types of projects include feasibility studies, engineering and architectural design, program management and construction management. The incumbent has P&L responsibility for US operations. The Vice President will be responsible to: Work closely with other business unit executives with overall Company objectives. Lead and direct architecture and engineering team to ensure project completion within budget and schedule and at the required level of quality Review and comment on design submissions Review contracts, scope documents, budgets, and invoices Build and maintain client relations for ongoing and prospective projects Develop and maintain relations with teaming partners Ensure proper project tracking and reporting Direct and oversee business development, proposal preparation and marketing initiatives Develop and implement the business plan for US operations Manage and mentor staff and coordinate recruitment Communicate regularly with industry peers Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in, Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant professional discipline. An advanced degree is strongly preferred. Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ A&E work experience with experience managing A&E projects in a leadership role within the past 5 years – preferably in the DMV region. Experience managing people, budgets, schedules and contracts for infrastructure project delivery. Excellent oral and written communications, critical thinking, creativity, and marketing strategy development experience for A&E services. Professional registration is highly desired.
