Job Details:

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the direct implementation, strategy and continued operation of Cubic’s Customer Services Business through best practices, value proposition, global synergies and Service innovation initiatives. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction.  Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows the company strategy and the resultant services strategy to achieve the goals as set out in the business plan and to promote Cubic as a world class company.
  • Prepares input to Yearly/Quarterly Profit and Loss (P&L) plan for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and strives to meet O&M cost control and profitability targets.
  • Consults with and support Research and Development (R&D) in terms deployment of programs and O&M considerations.
  • Works closely with Cubic worldwide services team to promote continued improvement and excellence.
  • Contributes to the regional global business strategy in terms of: R&D, implementation of major O&M systems, market prioritization, capability development, acquisition analysis and financial model alignment.
  • Consults with and supports R&D, Engineering, Programs, Marketing and Bid process, to provide O&M input and considerations.
  • Contributes on required operational strategies including delivery of service contracts, product support, best practices and world-wide synergies achieving, thereby continuous improvements in cost and competitiveness.
  • Assists with identifying principle sales strategies of competitors related to services and recommend appropriate actions and to provide continuing input of market and competitive analysis thus enabling pro-active development of new business.
  • Assists with bid strategies for O&M opportunities, ensure customer service opportunities are identified and acted upon via customer service strategies, business development and/or programs. 
  • Attends periodic meetings between Regional Engineering, Regional QA and Regional Security teams.
  • Produces regular service business plans which detail sales potentials for new market areas and strategies to sustain existing business.
  • Visits key customers and establish relationships and executive levels.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting of afore-mentioned performance and progress.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Four year college degree in engineering, finance, or business discipline, plus a minimum of fifteen years business management to include Services, Operations and complex Program Management experience. Master’s degreepreferred. A working knowledge of systems, operations, quality assurance systems and engineering, with extensive knowledge in at least one of these areas.  Must have a proven record of accomplishment in operations and maintenance services, project management and general business management. Must be able to work under project deadlines pressures, and associated cost and schedule constraints.  Must have superior communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with and influence employees, senior leadership and customers.  Extensive travel will be required, including international and often for extended periods.
