Primary Responsibilities

Manages business delivery for Software products by

  • Being accountable for software delivery that is both on time and of high quality
  • Performing business reviews with stakeholders
  • Reviewing delivery processes on an ongoing basis, identifying any inefficiencies and/or areas for improved delivery, and implementing new processes
  • Eliminating barriers to successful delivery
  • Managing delivery client escalations
  • Directly managing client delivery teams

Identify and facilitate communication and information sharing across functional teams by

  • Identifying client deliverables at risk and developing a corrective action
  • Serving as liaison between departments and functional group requiring focused leadership for the organization to achieve OE initiatives
  • Ensuring visibility of client deliverables that are at risk and/or not on time
  • Serving as operational expert to business transformation team, working closely with team to achieve target OEs

Manages integration–related activities as assigned by

  • Developing objectives and managing day-to-day efforts of the team to ensure a high level of responsiveness, flexibility, and efficiency
  • Building strong, collaborative relationships throughout the company
  • Assisting business partners in the design, planning, optimization and implementation of new operational process workflows that support company growth initiatives, new products and services

Performs supervisory functions by

  • Providing direct supervision of delivery leads
  • Communicating job expectations
  • Planning, monitoring and appraising job results
  • Coaching, counseling, developing and disciplining staff
  • Initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures
  • Working with upper management in the continued development, coordination and implementation of support functions, processes, training program and evaluation of same

Increases stakeholder value by

  • Establishing functional objectives aligned with corporate mission
  • Initiating, coordinating and enforcing new strategic initiatives
  • Measuring and ensuring profit and service driven outcomes

Contributes to overall company communication, cooperation and efficiencies by

  • Communicating departmental updates to appropriate personnel throughout company
  • Considering the impact of the department's processes and deliverables on other departments and the company when implementing and managing processes
  • Interacting frequently with other departmental supervisors and managers to keep abreast of their respective environments (e.g., new ideas, process changes, staffing concerns, etc.)

Secondary Responsibilities

Maintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by

  • Reading, understanding and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures ("SOP")
  • Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards

  • Working with internal staff to resolve issues
  • Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes
  • Helping others to achieve results
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Maintains Technical and Industry Knowledge by

  • Attending and participating in applicable company-sponsored training
  • Attending and participating in relevant industry conferences



  • Bachelor's Degree required


  • 10+ years general operations management experience that includes 5+ years of experience in an executive management role within a regulated environment, preferably in a technical services environment
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry required, international business experience preferred
  • Demonstrated problem analysis and problems resolution at both the strategic and functional levels
  • Broad functional experience and technical skills in areas of operational management
  • Understanding of medical and/or clinical trial terminology is required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. Experience developing and mentoring team for optimal effectiveness
