The Database Products team is responsible for the design, testing, coding, and deployment of tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities in support of database operations and development teams across the firm, covering activities such as build, monitoring, configuration, patching, backup & restore of database instances. The team works in conjunction with other technology towers to ensure that all databases are managed within a set of security, resiliency and operational standards and best practices that is integrated with the rest of enterprise infrastructure in an automated & agile manner. We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Developer, with a proven track record in database engineering, automation, software development lifecycle, and delivering results using agile & scrum development methodologies.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation and delivery.
  • Understanding cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages
  • Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, Java, C, C++, Perl, Powershell, Unix Shell scripting, SQL
  • Experience with developing frameworks that helps increasing developer and release velocity, improving code health and technical standards
  • Advanced experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, database, unix/linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, networking, large scale software development, security software development
  • Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with clear communication
  • Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
  • Expert level Infrastructure development and Automation on Linux environments. Experience with Agile/Scrum software development framework, JIRA, Confluence, Source code control system, Integration & User acceptance testing, log capture, documentation and Production releases
  • Exposure to Microservice architecture, REST API design/development
  • Experience with build automation, test driven development, continuous integration & Delivery
  • Strong understanding of distributed computing technologies including Server hardware, operating systems, Database, Networks, Storage, Clustering, Replication, Backup & Recovery
  • Familiarity with database design, development and or operations
