Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks a Vice President, Senior Network Engineer in New York, New York
Scope the network requirements based on business drivers and directives along with encompassing emerging architectures and industry trends. Advise on industry and organization needs based on business interactions and technical requests, and coordinate stakeholder planning, testing and execution. Obtain critical Wealth Management business needs, and analyze and translate needs to networking requirements and solutions. Design and Build robust networks with various vendor network hardware and software. Architect, engineer, and maintain operational solutions for monitoring, alerting and tracking issues. Capture network traffic as necessary and conduct deep packet inspection and protocol analysis. Design and implement various business application solutions which provide encryption capabilities using DMVPN and SDWAN and internet offload. Orchestrate deployment of network services and systems within a Public Cloud environment. Create, review, maintain and update documentation. Analyze and develop platform security issues and forensics. Interface with all major networking vendors, including ASIC manufacturers, to understand the evolving industry to ensure those trends can become available features in a timely fashion to the end users.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Vice President, Manager, Network Engineer, or related occupation in the technology field. Requires five (5) years of experience with: troubleshooting of Cisco, Juniper, routers, and switches; TCP or IP; BGP; MPLS; OSPF; Multicast, including PIM and MDSP; LAN, WAN, or MAN; QoS and IPSEC; VRF-Lite; Layer 2 Technologies including Ethernet, VLAN, and STP; wireshark; TCPDump; SevOne; Ixia or Spirent; Network Telemetry via SNMP, IPSLA, Netflow, and sflow; Network Security/hardening CVE tracking and endpoint security including 802.x and TrustSec; L3 VPN; L2VPN; Traffic Engineering; and internetwork operating systems including Cisco IOS, XE, XR, Juniper, Application optimization appliances including WAE, and Firewalls. Requires two (2) years of experience with: AWS Cloud Networking; build JSON templates; APIs; JSON Scripting; Python; RESTful APIs; Lambda; AWS CloudTrail; AWS CloudWatch; AWS CloudFormation; AWS AutoScale; Load balancer; Virtualization; network and application analytics, design, and testing; multicast, including: MVPN, Data MDT, and SSM; DMPVN; and internetwork operating systems including NXOS.
